Michelle & Brian. A fall mountain elopement in this place I love so dearly. That’s really all I have to say to encompass everything good– these people, this place, this time of year. ALL OF IT. Since the first emails with Michelle I knew we’d be friends– it’s hard to convey and build something strong having only e-met before, but we had that. She’s been enthusiastic, supportive, and 100% trusting of my guidance and advice since the beginning, and that in itself is more than I can ever thank her and Brian enough for.
I’ve been excited for this day and capturing this story for many months, and getting to be a part of it as it happened was everything and more. Not only was this my favorite season, my favorite place and with a fresh coat of snow on the mountains (not to mention the most wonderful lighting)… but it was full of genuine moments and heart. Full of people who were literally so overjoyed to have found one another you couldn’t help but shed tears during their vows with them. And, to see how they included Brian’s daughter Addi was absolute magic– she helped Michelle get ready, she stood with them during the ceremony. They had a wonderful addition to their ceremony that included a vow to Addi from each of them, as well as vows from Addi herself. Then, together, they braided the rope that is a reminder of what they have built together ( & yes, at this point, I was sobbing too).
To complete this absolute perfection, we’re still texting each other jokes we came up with that day && these two not only gifted me a thank you with the most beautiful card, but wrote me a note at the end of the day that just about turned me to permanent soup. I am so lucky to have these people in my life, and to be able to do this– and I was reminded of all the beauty in it through them. Thank you Michelle, Brian & Addi (And Eia & Dena!!).. truly, for everything.
Special thanks to Flowers by Chloe , Buttercream Design Co., & HMU by Tanya for their help in this day & it’s fun & beauty!
