Rachelle and Gary moved here in the last year, and decided instead of a courthouse ceremony, they wanted something simple but adventurous. We had a few ideas, but finally decided that a Taggart Lake elopement would be the perfect mix of things they loved.
With only their besties, Todd and Adrianna, to film and marry them, and Gary’s daughter Laila standing by their sides, these two were married in the peace of a calm lake under the mountains.
I have so much admiration for Rachelle, I’ve gotten to know her just a tiny bit in the past year, and she never fails to reset all expectations. She is an incredible step-mom, who shows Laila so much love, and was a total badass– hiking around in a fitted dress is not an easy task, but she made it look endlessly graceful.
One of my favorite parts about specializing in these type of ceremonies is that there’s no pressure– we can pause anytime we need to, we can laugh during the ceremony, we can shift plans as needed to make the best of the experience.
Taggart Lake elopements are a fresh add to my list of expertise this year, and man, that view never ever gets old!
A special shout to the incredible team that brought this day together. My girl Mollie, for her always perfect HMU work. My favorite floral queen, Chloe, for this perfect pop of summer attached to our packs. Buttercream Design Co. for the delicious sugar rush. And, the ever incredible Hailey Paige for this work-of-art gown.
Here’s to a high school friendship that bloomed into a lifetime of adventures ahead!
