Alex and Jon were real troopers, facing uncertain weather for their Grand Teton National Park spring elopement, a time when the weather can change FAST! The heavens were definitely looking down on these two after 9 years together, and we timed our day perfectly avoiding the worst of stormy weather but capturing the true of the mountains and the power they hold.
We started the day after some hair and makeup with a hike to one of my favorite park spots, to share in getting changed together and capturing some portraits of their adventurous side. When we got back, we headed up the Teton Park Road to our next stop, where we met up with their families to celebrate their union together. We got a unique chance to watch the storm coming through the canyon, which is honestly beautiful, and sparked some animal movement as we adventured off to our final stop to watch the day fade and celebrate these two!
I caught quite a few elk, a brief peek at a moose, and a fox during our adventures– they definitely knew there was a party happening. We finished the day up high, watching the storm and light come through the clouds and mountains and laughing, celebrating and soaking up all that these two are together and love they have built. Looking forward to seeing what the next 9 years hold… and many more!
