A beautiful Bentwood Inn summer wedding feature a celebration of love, community and culture with two wonderful souls, Aimee & Balaji. Over the past years i’ve gotten to know them after Covid diverted our original plans and we got to hang out with Sable last spring to celebration their engagement, and then returned to celebrate with them on their wedding day surrounded by their families and friends.
These two are truly selfless, working tirelessly for the better of us all, and whose top priority in this day was that their friends and family had fun, enjoyed a place they love, and were comfortable and happy. What a true testament to their hearts, and what a gift to see those hearts united and supported by so many.
It was also wonderful getting the opportunity to celebrate both of their cultures, especially on “Loving Day”, which happened to coincide with their wedding date. On that same day years ago, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Loving’s, legalizing interracial marriage in USA. What a wondrous anniversary to celebrate on this day (though disappointing it’s an anniversary to begin with). We had a ceremony at the Wedding Tree, where Aimee’s father read a beautiful Irish blessing for the couple and then returned to The Bentwood Inn to enjoy an Indian ceremony supported by both family present and family who could not make the trip due to the pandemic. Both, as you can see, we’re gorgeous and intimate and beautiful..
I’m so lucky to be able to tell stories of these hearts, such deserving, kind, wonderful people who bring so much light to this world individually, and even more as a team.
An incredible team was responsible for making this day possible : Wild Rose JH, Athena Beauty Artistry, Red House Flowers, The Bentwood Inn, Sagebrush Grille, Teton Shadow Band, Salt Lake Express, Bar-SIP-Bar, Windy Woman Cakes.
