Well, there’s hardly a place to begin with this Dubois Wyoming engagement story. If you know me, you know this radiant beauty of a cowgirl is one of my best friends in the world, and the sister who has truly been by my side through both of our moves west. She is the one person who truly understands the salty water that runs through our blood, but the deep love we both share for this red dirt, rising hills and plains of the west.
Watching her meet, and then fall in love with Riley has been one of the greatest gifts a friend could witness. Two people with hearts of true gold, who deserve a love like this more than anything. Watching their partnership bloom and flourish has been truly something I can’t explain. When you love another so much, seeing them find their better half and someone who loves them and shares in their life and community is a gift.
We dreamed up this little weekend of escape for everyone, and a chance to tell a little of their story. This land literally runs through Riley’s blood, and in turn, has become a home to Bailey. Having spent years working this land herself, this red dirt was as key to their story as anything else.
She truly wanted to kill me slightly for making her put on the floral top and skirt (ESPECIALLY), but it worth it 10000000% million percent, because look at this stunning duo. My closet has literally never had a shot at being worn this well, and mixing in their day-to-day style is the perfect way to remind ourselves, most importantly, in years to come, that each bit is a part of this story.
To tell a little piece of these hearts story is the greatest gift. Here’s to rides in the sunset and dancing with dogs on a dirt road for the rest of our lives, and most importantly, you two together always. I love you more than words, and im so grateful for the past 15 years I’ve shared with you Bay. Riley, thank you for loving her the way she deserves to be loved, and heres to 500 years more of laughter and red dirt rides for you both. You’re alright too 😉
