Jackson Hole Mountain Engagement | Joanna & Garrett

Joanna & Garrett decided that Jackson was the perfect place to plan for their future wedding, and while they did a planning trip with their families, they wanted to capture some photos of them in their daily lives. So, we created a new adventure for their trip with a Jackson Hole mountain engagement! They were total troopers during drizzly rain, but it made for the most incredible misty mountain background that I personally love SO much.

Garrett’s original proposal plan was altered by Covid, so he told Joanna in their living room on Easter, but they knew they wanted to capture the memories of that moment. At first, I wasn’t sure how well that would come through in images, since it wasn’t your normal surprising moment. But… as soon as I saw Joanna start talking about it and the smile bloom across her face, I realized that wasn’t going to be an issue at all. She was over the moon, and all the emotions flowed again– an amazing testament to their love and how excited they are to spend life together.

There’s nothing I love like a good, misty mountain morning– the light, the adventures, the peaks rising into view and then fading in the mist again. This was the perfect Jackson Hole mountain engagement, and I hope the love they share and excitement for life, will be with them for all their days ahead.
