Chris & Kathleen are the kind of people you dream of working with. Chatting with them is so easy, and working with them too. Originally, Chris and Kathleen were supposed get married in early June of this year, but it was increasingly clear to us all that that might not be the best call.
So, with utter grace and the BEST spirits, we postponed their elopement for next year… but decided to make the best of this by planning a Taggart Lake backcountry engagement to still celebrate their love in 2020! And, it was AWESOME.
Not only are these people SO respectful (hello Covid 2020!) but they brought me a WHOLE BOX of treats from their home which was SUCH a brightening spot to my week! It was so easy to chat, hang out, and enjoy an afternoon in the park with them.
They also had the best outlook on the mask deal, and I have so much admiration for it I had to share. Because of the recent surge in cases here, and the slightly insane amount of people in the park, many of the popular trails really require masks as you constantly pass people and theres no more than a foot or two of space. I had reached out to them just to give a heads up… and while I was nervous since obviously this isn’t ideal for anyone, these guys actually ASKED for shots with their masks! They said “It’s our new normal, and we don’t see this changing… so we’d love to document this time so we can remember these memories, moments, etc!”
I was blown away, because what an incredible way to make the best of a hard situation and see it from a different light. I have SO much admiration for this! Most of all, I had the best dang time with these two and feel so grateful that I get to see them again in less than a year!!
